Now, let's dive into the science behind going grey
As we age, our hair starts to fade before losing its colour and eventually going grey.
This fading of our hair is due to the loss of pigment.
As we age, the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for hair colour, declines.
The gradual decrease in melanin production leads to a fading of colour intensity and the appearance of grey or white hair.
Why guys can't dye their hair
This leaf will help me explain better why us guys can’t dye our hair.
You see,
A leaf has 100’s of natural tones that make up its colour.
Now if we imagine the leafs veins were grey hairs.
If we picked a colour from the leaf and dyed it.
That would create a single block of colour – like the leaf on the right.
Yes, the greys are gone.
But so have the hundreds of natural tones that make up the colour of the leaf.
It now looks artificial, doesn’t it?
That’s what dyed hair looks like on us guys – artificial & fake.
The absence of natural variations in colour draws attention to the fact that the hair has been artificially altered.
It creates a uniform block of colour which is perfect for the ladies but looks silly on guys.
And the worst part?
To combat the greys I tried out every product on the market, maybe you’ve tried some of them to?
Special shampoos, dyes, soap bars, sprays and vitamin supplements…….
They either didn’t work or created a horrible fake dyed-look.
